 Chapter 10. ELECTIONS

§ 10-1. Boundaries of wards.

  • (a)

    The city is hereby divided into four wards. The boundaries of each ward are as follows:

    (1)

    Ward one: All of the territory within the corporate limits of the city lying northerly beginning on the western boundary of the city on the center of Orr Street, then east to the center of North 8th Street, then south to the center of Palmer Street, then east to the center of North Montana Avenue, then lying westerly north to the boundary of the city.

    (2)

    Ward two: All of the territory within the corporate limits of the city lying westerly beginning on the southern boundary on the city, then north on the center of South Strevell Street to the center of Tompy Street, then west along the center of Tompy Street to the center of South Custer Avenue then north along the centerline of South Custer Avenue to its intersection with Main Street, then lying southerly west to the center of North Montana Avenue, then north to the venter of Palmer Street, then west to the center of North 8th Street, then north to the center of Orr Street, then west to the boundary of the city.

    (3)

    Ward three. All the territory within the corporate limits of the city lying southerly beginning on the eastern boundary of the city on the center of Main Street, then west to the platted centerline of South Custer Avenue, then lying easterly south to the center of Tompy Street, then east to the center of South Strevell Street, then south to the southern boundary of the city.

    (4)

    Ward four: All the territory embraced within the corporate limits of the city lying northerly beginning on the eastern boundary of the city on the center of Main Street, then west to the center of North Montana Avenue, then lying easterly north to the boundary of the city.

    (b)

    For the purposes of this section, Montana Avenue is considered as running approximately north and south, and Main Street and Palmer Street are considered as running approximately east and west.
