§ 11-30. Qualifications of firefighters.

The qualifications of firefighters shall be that they shall not be, at the time of original appointment, over 31 years of age, and shall have passed a physical examination by a practicing physician duly authorized to practice in this state. Such examination shall be in writing and filed with the city clerk/treasurer, and shall disclose the ability of the applicant to perform the physical work usually required of firefighters in the performance of their duty.
