§ 11-78. Life Safety Code adopted; conflicting provisions.

  • (a)

    There is hereby adopted by the city the model subdivision regulations known as the Code for Safety to Life from Fire in Buildings and Structures, 1991 Edition, published by the National Fire Protection Association. Not less than three copies of the Code for Safety to Life from Fire in Buildings and Structures, 1991 Edition, are filed in the office of the city clerk, and the same are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length in this section, and the provisions thereof shall take effect and be controlling within the city limits, as delineated in the zoning district map adopted by Ordinance No. 839.

    (b)

    Any conflict of regulations between the Uniform Fire Code and the Life Safety Code shall be controlled by the regulation offering the greater amount of public protection; otherwise the Life Safety Code shall control.
