§ 1-8. Boundaries of city described.

(a)

The corporate limits of the city are hereby defined, described and established as follows:

Beginning at the northeast corner of the northwest quarter of the northeast quarter of Section 34, Township 8 North, Range 47 East; thence north along the centerline of Sewell Avenue 659 feet to the northeast corner of Residence Park addition; thence west along the north line of Residence Park addition 307 feet to a point which is 12 feet west of the northwest corner of Block 5 of the Residence Park addition; thence north 706 feet to a point on the north property line of the Dyba addition; thence west 722.35 feet along the north boundary line of the Dyba addition to a point; thence southwest 579.55 feet along the northwesterly boundary of the Dyba addition to the northeast corner of the Phillips Petroleum tract; thence north 600 feet, more or less, to a point on the Burlington Northern Railroad right-of-way; thence northeasterly 1,109 feet along the north right-of-way line of the Burlington Northern Railroad to a point; thence northwesterly 290.53 feet along the northeast line of Tract A of Albert's subdivision; thence southwesterly 333.83 feet along the south right-of-way line of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad to the northwest corner of said Tract A; thence south 480.48 feet along the west line of Tract A to a point 40.12 feet north of the southwest corner of Tract A; thence southwesterly 480 feet running parallel with the Burlington Northern Railroad right-of-way line to a point; thence westerly along the north boundary of the East High School addition to the centerline of North Lake Avenue; thence northerly along the centerline of North Lake Avenue to a point on the south right-of-way line of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad; thence northeasterly along said right-of-way line 1,410 feet, more or less, to the east line of Section 27; thence north 595 feet, more or less, to the north right-of-way line of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad; thence northeasterly along said right-of-way line to the centerline of Kadzie Avenue; thence north 1,276.7 feet to the intersection of the centerline of Jackson Street; thence westerly 330 feet to the centerline of Daly Avenue;
