§ 2-61. Attendance at meetings.

  • The city council may compel, under such rules and penalties as the council may prescribe, the attendance of the mayor or any member of the city council who without good and sufficient reason, the sufficiency of which shall be determined by the council, fail or refuse to attend any regular meeting of the council previously designated by ordinance or order of the city council or any meeting to which the council shall at any time adjourn, or any special meeting duly called as provided by this article, after receiving notice of such special meeting.
