§ 11-26. Composition.

The fire department of the city shall consist of a chief of the fire department, and such number of paid and volunteer firefighters as the council may provide from time to time. The council, in its discretion, may, from time to time, by resolution, provide for one or more assistant chiefs of the fire department.
