§ 2-152. Deputy; duties, compensation and term.

  • (a)

    The mayor shall appoint a deputy city attorney who shall serve as the city prosecutor and who shall have the power to do, in the name of the city attorney, all acts and duties pertaining to that office. The city attorney shall supervise such deputy and may delegate to the deputy duties of the city attorney.

    (b)

    The term of office of the deputy city attorney shall be two years from date of confirmation, unless suspended or removed from office by the city council for the neglect, violation, or disregard of duties.

    (c)

    The compensation of the deputy city attorney shall be established by resolution of the city council.
